Cutting Tree Trunk

Do you know how to cut a tree trunk? Tree Trimmers are the people that do it for a living. Whether cutting down a tree in order to get rid of it, or changing the direction of a tree that is setting in a certain direction, there are some steps that must be followed. It is better to do it correctly than it is to end up hurting someone or doing damage to property.

The first step is to have all the necessary equipment. This may include a chain saw, a ladder, a tree stump, and a good set of tree cutting shears. Depending on the size of the tree and the branch that needs cutting, this could require quite a bit of equipment. When cutting down tree trunks, make sure to wear protective gear such as gloves and goggles. You will also want to have someone with you to help you hold the tree in place while cutting, so don't try cutting it yourself!

Once you have all of your equipment, it is time to start cutting. Start by cutting the outermost layer of bark from the tree trunk. Next cut the second layer of bark and then finally get to the inner bark. Once you get all of the inner layers out, it is time to take a decision. Do you want to cut the tree from the top or from the bottom?

If you choose the bottom, it is easier for you to get at the tree, but it can take longer if you find a way to protect yourself while cutting it. This method is best for smaller tree trunks. Otherwise it can be hard and dangerous to get at the tree if you have cut it too far to the side.

If you choose the top of the tree, the main thing that can get damaged is the root system. As you get closer to the top, tree trunks tend to get thicker and more brittle because the roots are protected by the bark. Once you reach the crown, tree trunks can become very thin and even break off. To avoid this, it is important to leave at least a 2 inch gap between the cutting and the tree. Of course, this is going to be difficult when you are cutting down a tree with a bigger diameter. However, as long as you have done everything possible to protect the tree, it should survive the cutting.

Even though cutting a tree trunk may seem scary, it is one of the most important tree care tasks you can do. You don't want to end up with a broken or dead branch on your hand. It is especially important not to damage the tree when you are cutting it down. After you have finished, make sure you inspect the stump for other unwanted surprises like pests or disease.
