Tree Cuts

It is common to find that tree cuts can be quite an eye sore job. However there are several things which need to be kept in mind when cutting a tree. For starters if you are cutting down a tree which is mature then you would not have much problem as you could go ahead and cut the branches and let them fall. However if you are cutting down a young tree then you will have to take special care because they are much more sensitive and you could end up with serious injuries. Further if you do it without knowing the proper technique then you could end up with large wounds on your hand.

Before undertaking tree trimming you should first ensure that the tree is cut in the right direction. For instance if you are intending to chop a tree vertically then the branch which runs horizontally towards you would not pose a problem. On the other hand you should ensure that the branches that run in a different direction do not pose a problem. You should keep in mind that cutting down a tree which grows in a different direction will affect its direction and path and you could end up with branches crossing each other. This could result in tripping over and serious accidents.

The second thing that you should be concerned about is whether the tree is cut properly or not. Even though if you hire a certified arborist for tree cuts he will be able to give you a certificate that will authenticate that the cut was done properly. You should however be careful about this because a certified arborist might put pressure on you and persuade you to undertake large tree felling cuts.

You should also keep in mind that some branches are easier to trim than others. Some trees like live branches, thickets which are quite hard to trim. In such trees you might end up cutting off a limb or even a portion of the tree which could prove to be fatal for you and others around you. If you hire a certified arborist he will make sure that the tree is cut properly and safely.

The last thing that you should keep in mind is that you should have a plan before you begin tree trimming. The plan should include the purpose of cutting down the tree, the distance of the fall, how much work will be involved after the fall, and what precautions need to be taken afterwards. Since trees tend to grow in a non-uniform manner, you will have to take into account the fact that branches grow from different directions and angles. This means that you may have to cut branches in an area where there are branches which run perpendicular to the direction of the fall. You will then need to consider the angle at which they grow and the way in which you should trim them accordingly.

There is no need to panic if you find that you are cutting more trees than you can manage to get rid of. It is very common for trees to grow in the landscape layout that they are placed in and it is often impossible to predict when they are going to grow too big or large for the landscape you have planned. For this reason, it is important to have someone who is trained in cutting trees look at the plan to figure out the best way to trim the tree and remove dead branches. It may seem like a lot of work when you first start out but in the end it will be worth it when you see how well your trees are taken care of.
